Buying a classic car means becoming custodian of a vehicle with a story, and when a car over 50 years old still boasts such comprehensive provenance across so many years, with only 3 owners to date, you're looking at a genuine gem that has become (very) rare to find… Mileage is completely verified as original.
This Peugeot 404 Cabriolet was delivered new in France (Paris) to its first owner, who kept it until 2005. Its second owner, a Belgian, then owned it from 2005 to 2008, and from 2008 to the present day it has belonged to its third owner, also Belgian… See photographs of the various original documents.
As for the bodywork, it is absolutely flawless! Not a single blemish, scratch, dent or sign of corrosion… (see photographs taken on the lift as well as images of its complete restoration approximately 10 years ago at a reputable coachbuilder in Brussels).
The interior is equally immaculate – concours condition! Absolutely nothing to fault, whether it's the seats, dashboard, carpets, door panels etc… and everything works, including the radio for example!
The mechanics have been thoroughly overhauled as they should be… see the summary of recent expenditure and the invoice file, which is substantial. Before delivering it to us (by road, approximately 100 kms), the owner had one final check-up carried out by an enthusiast mechanic experienced with classic cars…
