If we emphasise the word extraordinary, it’s because not only do we have a model in perfect condition, this Peugeot 404 is also COMPLETE: hardtop, hood cover, double set of original keys but above all, we have ALL the history of this car… the original order form, the full file (period carnet and service invoices file), photos of the restoration, the originals of the registration documents – Belgian registration certificates, absolutely EVERYTHING …
Buying a classic car means taking responsibility for a vehicle with a history and when a car over 50 years old still has such traceability across so many years, with only 3 current owners, we’re really touching a gem that has become (very) rare to find… Original mileage fully certified.
This Peugeot 404 Cabriolet was delivered new in France (Paris) to its first owner who kept it until 2005. It is therefore in 2005 that its second owner, a Belgian, kept it until 2008, and from 2008 until now, it has belonged to its 3rd owner, still Belgian… See the photos of the various original documents.
Regarding the bodywork, it is in perfect condition! Not a single defect, nor scratch, nor trace of corrosion… (see the photos taken on the ramp as well as photos of its total restoration about 10 years ago at a body shop in Brussels).
Regarding the interior, the same, we’re in concours condition! Absolutely nothing to say, whether the seats, the dashboard, the carpets, the interior of the doors etc … and everything works, including the radio for example!
Regarding the mechanics, everything has been overhauled as it should… see the summary of recent costs and the invoices file, it is substantial. Before delivering it to us (by road, about +/- 100 km), the owner had one last check with a hobbyist mechanic who is used to old cars…
