T1 from the pre-production period which was made in Brazil

The Volkswagen Type 2 is a functional utility vehicle in the form of a very practical bus and is still Volkswagen-ubiquitous and truly loved by a very eclectic audience, i. e., everyone. Since 1950 it has been in production in six successive series, each with technological upgrades. Its practicality and design are contemporaneous every time. The early models evoke a nostalgic feeling.
Volkswagen had only one car since its establishment: the Beetle (Type 1). In 1947, VW's Dutch importer, Ben Pon, thought the range should be expanded with a van. He drew a sketch which was used three years later, in 1950, in the design and release of the Type 2. It's a van with the engine and design inspired by the Beetle. The engine is mounted at the rear, the rounded shapes were kept, giving a cute look to its design.
The Type 2 quickly gained iconic status and was loved by everyone. The hippies were so in love with this bus that they lived in it; moreover, they painted their vans to protest world famine, poverty and war. The buses painted by the hippies became the symbol of hippie counterculture and the carefree 1960s.
Over the years, many variants were designed. A camper version was made possible and, as well as a pickup that was glorious in the United States.
Volkswagen T1
The T1 is the incarnation of nostalgia and the carefree 60s. This versatile bus with a split front windscreen is the first car where the driver sits just above the front axle. The rear-mounted four-cylinder engine delivers modest nostalgic power and a distinctive engine note.
With the indestructible Volkswagen engine, a T1 is always well-suited for travel. Often they are used as commercial ‘billboards’; some are even converted into mobile bars.
Undoubtedly, the T1 is a highly coveted classic, and demand on the market is very high. Who wouldn’t want to be seen in such a cool bus? A T1 is a stable and versatile investment.
