Ford F100 Twin I-Beam – 1966 – V8 352ci – 3-speed manual column shift – Original.
Custom paint with a rusty, patina finish.
I am selling my 1966 Ford F100 in a configuration that has become rather uncommon: an original V8 352ci engine paired with its original 3-speed column-shift manual gearbox. The version is equipped with the Twin I-Beam front suspension, emblematic of Ford commercial vehicles of that era.
The vehicle presents an originality-faithful configuration and preserves the driving character typical of 1960s American pickups: a torquey V8, column shift control and authentic driving without modern modifications.
Recent work:
• Engine, gearbox and rear axle oil change
• Clutch replaced
• Front and rear shock absorbers replaced
• New starter
• New spark plugs and ignition leads
• New voltage regulator
• Distributor advance valve replaced
• Windscreen washer pump replaced
• Gearbox linkage refurbished
• Gearbox seals replaced
• Engine seals: valve cover gaskets, valve stem seals, oil pump seal, crankcase gasket, exhaust manifold gaskets
• Cooling system cleaned with replacement of hoses and desanding seals
• Cab mounting silentblocks replaced
• Corrosion treatment with replacement of affected sheet metal (cab, front wings and radiator support)
Regarding the engine, I do not have a history allowing me to confirm whether it has ever been rebuilt. However, its behaviour is very healthy:
• Uniform compression across all cylinders
• Starts and runs regularly
• Engine runs smoothly
• No oil consumption observed
• Spark plug readings consistent with clean combustion (light brown colour)
The vehicle runs and operates normally.
