Description
Hello,
I’m selling my 1996 BMW 320i E36 Cabriolet, of which I’ve been the owner since 2019.
This is a lovely, tastefully configured example, powered by the famous 2. 0-litre chain-driven inline-six, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It’s an original France-spec car, originally sold new by BMW Lyon 9.
The cabriolet has a particularly pleasing specification: black leather sport seats and steering wheel, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, cruise control, central armrest, walnut-effect inserts, CD changer, etc. In short, it’s understated, comfortable, enjoyable to drive and very characterful.
Low original mileage. The upkeep has been serious, with a service book, folder of invoices, Histovec report, manuals, a pair of keys, and so on.
The bodywork is solid: NO corrosion. The car has never been restored. It has a few dents and signs of normal use, all consistent with its age.
The BMW runs well. The electric soft top is fully functional. What’s due to do: replacement of the rear plastic window, which is cracked, as well as the securing cables for the roof lining of the soft top—an identified, well-known and common issue on cabriolets of this generation. Since the car hasn’t covered much mileage in the last four years, a service oil change and an air-con recharge are also to be expected.
Valid MOT/ technical inspection passed on 23/ 03/ 2026. Registration document (V5) is in my name.
This 320i cabriolet is a fine original, healthy example, with a clear, unmodified history—ideal for enjoying a BMW 6-cylinder youngtimer with the charm of a 1990s cabriolet.
