Description
L’atelier des 1000 is pleased to offer for sale this 1970 Citroën Méhari, presented in its original Orange Kirghiz colour.
Launched in 1968, the Méhari quickly became a symbol of freedom and simplicity. Designed as a light, practical and tough vehicle, it wins over enthusiasts as much for its distinctive styling as for its no-nonsense, utilitarian spirit. Built until 1987, it serves both private owners and professionals alike—whether for weekend getaways or everyday duties.
The example we’re offering you is a 1970 model, presented in a four-seat configuration, which is particularly well suited to family use or leisure driving.
Mechanically, the engine starts easily and runs smoothly and consistently. The road manners are sound and in line with what you’d expect from this model.
The engine has recently been overhauled; a photo dossier accompanies the work carried out.
The gearbox engages its gears correctly. The gear selection is particularly smooth. The clutch operates normally and shows no signs of weakness.
The running gear is in good condition. The braking system is effective.
The bodywork is in excellent condition. The Orange Kirghiz paintwork has a really impressive shine.
The cabin, in a four-seat layout, is smart and presentable. The seats, dashboard and controls are all in good condition and retain all the Méhari’s characteristic simplicity.
The vehicle is supplied with a set of foam seat covers—an accessory that’s especially appreciated for the trip back after a swim.
Given its specification and overall condition, we’re asking €19, 990.
