Description
Thank you for your interest in my automatic R16 TX! First of all, if the advert is online, the car is available.
Metallic slate-blue in its original trim, automatic gearbox for total comfort, black velvet and cloth interior. Original radio, electric windows and central locking: everything works. Immaculate cream-white headliner.
It’s a second owner car, in my possession since 2008. Standard registration document. I’m selling it because I no longer have the time to look after it; the FFVE certificate has already been obtained.
Recent work: the slate-blue metallic bodywork was repainted in 2025 by a professional body shop—excellent smooth, glossy finish with no orange-peel effect; really high-quality work. Four new tyres. Serviced with an oil change, filters, and rear brake refurbishment. The original service book wasn’t handed to me when I bought it.
MOT inspection (contrôle technique) carried out in May 2026, with the following minor defects: windscreen washer, dust covers for the suspension ball joints, slight surface corrosion (nothing structural; chassis is sound). The whole mechanical system and the bodywork are original, so it has had 48 years. The car has always been kept sheltered and dry, and it hasn’t been driven on the roads in winter conditions.
The car is not concours condition, and the price reflects its overall condition as described here.
Other known issues: the gear selector indicator light doesn’t work on the dashboard, and reverse can be a bit tricky to engage at times. However, the automatic gearbox and the engine have always worked properly since I’ve owned it (since 2008); I’ve never been left by the roadside.
The car is currently parked in the Jura at Mouthe, and can be viewed by appointment for people who are genuinely interested. Additional photo dossier available on request; sent by email.
