Description
L’Atelier des 1000 has the pleasure of offering for sale this 1981 Porsche 911 3. 0 SC Targa, presented in an elegant white specification paired with a two-tone cream and cocoa interior.
Introduced at the end of the 1970s, the 911 3. 0 SC represents a major milestone in the history of the G-generation. Built from 1978 to 1983, it is distinguished by its 3. 0-litre flat-six engine, renowned for its strength, flexibility and reliability.
In this stylish Targa guise, it delivers a unique blend of open-top driving pleasure with the timeless 911 silhouette. Today, the 3. 0 SC is recognised as one of the most appreciated classic Porsches, winning over enthusiasts with its authenticity, mechanical character and pure driving experience.
Our example stands out for a particularly desirable specification.
The two-tone cream and cocoa interior has been reupholstered, and Turbo seats have been fitted for the occasion. Its yellow glass lenses, three-spoke steering wheel and Targa bodywork give it a unique personality and undeniable charm.
The yellow lights can be replaced with classic lights for the sale.
The 3. 0-litre flat-six retains all the qualities that earned this generation of Porsche its reputation. It starts easily, with no strange noises or smoke, and runs smoothly, just as you’d expect from a classic 911.
In 2025 a comprehensive service was carried out: replacement of a fuel hose, installation of a “short shift”, and an oil change for the gearbox, as well as replacing the hot-air hoses.
Last December, an ignition service was also completed, including replacement of the coil, spark plugs and the ignition leads.
For sale purposes, we also replaced the fuel pressure accumulator.
Fitted with a stainless-steel exhaust, the 3. 0 flat-six offers a rounder, fuller sound, especially enjoyable on open-top drives.
The clutch works perfectly and shows no sign of wear.
A brake-system overhaul was carried out in 2024, including refurbishment of the calipers and replacement of the brake pads, ensuring strong and well-balanced braking.
The steering is precise and consistent with the model’s characteristics, while the suspension and running gear show no abnormal play.
The Fuchs wheels are in excellent condition and are shod with four-season tyres, replaced in 2025.
The bodywork is in good shape, the paint is even and shows a light patina, consistent with the age of the vehicle.
The Targa roof is in excellent condition; the roll-bar seal was replaced in 2024.
The leather cabin is particularly well preserved.
The dashboard is free of cracks, the carpets are in great condition, and a modern retro-styled head unit has been installed, offering improved day-to-day usability while preserving the car’s original spirit.
The boot carpet is new, as are the bonnet struts.
A black leather and black aluminium Momo Prototipo three-spoke steering wheel has been fitted, providing a firm grip and a sporty look.
Given the condition and specification of this Porsche, we are asking €54, 990.
