Ford Mustang Coupé 2. 3 Turbo – 1980 – 76, 800 km
I am offering for sale my 1980 Ford Mustang Coupé, equipped with the 2. 3 Turbo 4-cylinder engine.
This is a Fox Body generation Mustang in a particularly uncommon configuration, combining the 2. 3 Turbo engine, Coupé bodywork and an entirely blue presentation: blue exterior paint, blue interior and blue vinyl roof.
The car has remained in a configuration very close to the original and currently shows 76, 800 km on the odometer.
Its history is equally interesting. Sold new in Switzerland, it comes from a dealership located on the shores of Lake Geneva, between Geneva and Lausanne. The documentation I have suggests it remained on display for some time before its first registration.
The car is accompanied by a comprehensive set of documents allowing its history to be traced and documented. I notably possess period Ford documentation, including the American Ford 1980 Dealer Book with paint and fabric samples corresponding to that year's range.
This Mustang was also featured in an article in * Mustang & Shelby Magazine*. Its editor-in-chief, Jean-Pierre Versini, took interest in the car because of its original condition and the combination of several characteristics that have become difficult to find on a Fox Body: Coupé, 2. 3 Turbo engine and entirely blue configuration with vinyl roof.
The bodywork and underside are in very good condition; the paint was refinished in the original colour in 2009.
A full service has just been completed for €2, 000 by a specialist garage to ensure you can immediately enjoy a vehicle capable of covering any distance. The classic car MOT is valid until July 2031. The classic car registration document is in order and in my name.
This is not a Mustang that has been restored or modified to suit current tastes, but an example that retains much of its period configuration. This is precisely what makes it of interest to me today.
