Origins of the Innocenti Mini
The Innocenti Mini Cooper was born from an agreement between Italian manufacturer Innocenti and the British Motor Corporation (BMC) in the early 1960s. Innocenti began producing its own licensed version of the Mini in 1965, and subsequently developed distinct models, often more luxurious and with specific powertrains. The Mini Cooper 1300 marked an important milestone in this evolution.
Produced from February 1973 in greater quantities (approximately 28, 000 units) than the "non-export" version (approximately 10, 000 units produced from February 1972), the 1300 Cooper Export stood out with a more luxurious and better-equipped interior (specific seats, higher-quality carpeting, rear demister, sometimes wooden steering wheel), minor aesthetic details ("Export" badge), and potentially slight technical differences (engine similar to the English Mini Cooper S, possible Hydrolastic suspension).

Dressed in the famous Rosso Corsa, a wonderful shade that perfectly captures all the charm of this little Italian beauty.
It is simply remarkable. The bodywork, recently restored, is sound and rust-free, whilst the engine has been overhauled for worry-free motoring. The original interior has aged beautifully: the upholstery is like new, without a single blemish, and you'll be delighted to find the typical Innocenti steering wheel, along with its distinctive dashboard that all enthusiasts adore.
