Description
Renault 8 Major 1965 – 1400 cc – excellent condition – original engine included
I am selling my 1965 Renault 8 Major, which I have owned since 2016.
The car is registered as a ** classic vehicle** and is in excellent overall condition, both bodywork and interior.
No corrosion whatsoever
It has been personalised with a period sporting spirit, tastefully done, whilst retaining the charm and elegance of a classic Renault 8.
- Mechanical
It is currently fitted with a 1400 cc Renault engine (sourced from a Renault 18), which provides it with greater torque, flexibility and driving pleasure than the original mechanics.
The car is thus particularly enjoyable on the road.
The original Renault 8 engine has been retained and will be supplied with the car.
- Exterior presentation
The front end has been modified with the installation of Renault 8 Gordini 1100 headlights, integrated after adaptation of the front fascia.
This modification gives it a very attractive sporting appearance, in the spirit of the early Gordinis, without of course presenting this car as a genuine Gordini.
The bodywork looks superb, with brilliant paintwork, beautiful chrome trim and an excellent overall presence.
The car is currently fitted with wide steel wheels, which give it a very successful sporting look.
I also supply with the car 4 original Renault steel wheels in 15-inch, allowing you to easily return to a presentation closer to the original.
- Interior
The red interior is also in excellent condition and complements the exterior colour perfectly.
The dashboard and overall presentation remain very much in keeping with the original spirit.
An engaging and pleasant R8 to drive
I have owned this car for over 10 years now, I have all the service invoices for it, the entire braking system was overhauled this year.
This is a Renault 8 with plenty of character and personality, pleasant to drive, with careful presentation and more lively mechanics than the original.
It will suit perfectly an enthusiast looking for a classic R8 in excellent condition, lightly sportified in the spirit of the 1960s/ 70s, with the advantage of retaining its original engine as well as its original wheels.
Available by appointment.
