Description
Unveiled in 1982, the second generation BMW 3 Series was set to make an even bigger impact than its predecessor, the BMW E21 (1975-1982).
To achieve this, BMW offered several body styles (saloon, estate (Touring), coupé and convertible) and also provided various engine options, combining 4 and 6-cylinder units in the lineup.
The success of this model was considerable, and in the pursuit of accolades, the first BMW M3 was unveiled on an E30! The beginning of a legend was taking shape...
The early 1990s marked the end of production for this model, which had become a collector's item, very much in the spirit of Youngtimers!
The BMW E30 was indeed gradually replaced (depending on body style) by the E36 generation.
NYC's/ OXOTO presents for sale a very fine example in grey (lachssilber) with black leather interior totalling less than 199, 000 km on the odometer. Delivered new in June 1987, it became Belgian in June 1991. We have good traceability of its mileage history (which is excellent) thanks to the car pass, which begins from 2000 onwards (it had 137, 500 km in March 2000).
It has had several Belgian owners, including my colleague who owned it for several years.
The bodywork presents well, though there is a paint chip near the boot lid and some early corrosion on one wing. Otherwise, it presents nicely.
The bumper chrome is in very good condition, as is the hood. Its opening and closing mechanism is also in order.
The interior also presents very well and everything works (radio, ventilation, onboard computer display, etc...). The leather is in good general condition, the dashboard is in perfect condition with no holes or cracks, and the door panels and carpets are also very well preserved.
Mechanically, there's nothing to worry about either; it runs very well without issues: no overheating, it drives straight, the brakes are fine, it's ready to take to the road without concern. Recent work has been carried out since 2025: clutch slave cylinder, most of the cooling system hoses, expansion tank etc (invoices available on request).
The latest MOT report dates from November 2024 (197, 999 km) and mentions only a minor note regarding a chip in the windscreen.
We have old invoices, photos of restoration work, etc...
A lift is available at our premises to show you the underside of the vehicle.
Vehicle viewable by appointment at our Tournai (Belgium) location
