Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint in strict original condition - meticulously preserved as it was on day one. Matching numbers.
I am the 3rd owner.
Registered in January 1963 in Sweden, its first owner, a Swedish optician, kept it for over 50 years with full service history throughout the period. A member of the Alfa Romeo Club of Sweden, he was so attached to it that he had a plaque bearing his name fitted to the dashboard. The 2600 has been featured in numerous reports, including through the Alfa Romeo Club of Sweden. Upon his death, the car was imported and sold in France in 2016 to its 2nd owner by the renowned classic car dealer The Aaldering Gallery. The 2600 benefited at that time from a complete overhaul including gearbox refurbishment.
I purchased it from its 2nd owner following meticulous inspection:
Its 6-cylinder 2584 cc engine equipped with 3 Solex twin-choke carburettors is in perfect working order. It starts equally well when cold or warm and revs up effortlessly. Gearbox, steering and braking all in perfect condition as well.
The bodywork, never repainted, which enhances its charm, presents beautifully with only minor imperfections due to age. The chrome is in excellent condition and the underside shows no corrosion, confirming perfect maintenance and preservation.
The original blue leather interior presents a superb patina that adds character to the cabin. The blue leather and metal dashboard is complete and everything is functional, even the original radio! Even the complete tool kit is present!
It passes MOT tests with zero defects. Collector registration.
My 2600 comes with an impressive history file: 1962 purchase invoice, Swedish MOT history allowing mileage verification, maintenance invoices, Aaldering Gallery sales invoice, etc.
Total reliability: my 2600 completed the Biarritz to Lille journey in complete comfort and reliability. It participates in outings and exhibitions of the Alfa Romeo Club of Northern France.
Latest valuation by a state-approved expert at €62, 000 (report available). Mileage certified. I am parting with it reluctantly due to lack of space and time. No expenses to anticipate, only pleasure ahead. Delivery possible within France
