Title: Citroën BX 15 TGE (1988) - Low Mileage (~60, 000 km) - Restoration Project
Hello, I'm selling this Citroën BX 15 TGE from October 1988 (up-to-date registration document).
This is an excellent restoration base for an enthusiast of the model, off the road for a few years but with a rare advantage: its very low mileage (60, 412 km recorded during the 2020 MOT).
Condition Overview:
Exterior: Complete vehicle. The paintwork (lacquer) has faded by the sun on the bonnet.
Interior: Very well preserved for its age. The fabric upholstery is in good condition (no visible tears), the dashboard plastics are intact. A good clean will restore its former shine.
Mechanics & Hydraulics (Complete Transparency):
The last MOT dates from April 2022 (failed) and the vehicle hasn't been driven since.
The work required (noted on the 2022 MOT) to get it back on the road are as follows:
Overhaul of the hydraulic system: fluid leak (LHM) at the front, and hydropneumatic suspension needing servicing (spheres to be replaced, deterioration noted front left/ rear left).
Replacement of the CV joint gaiter (front right).
Replacement of tyres and brake hoses (front).
Engine restart to be carried out properly (extended lay-up).
Vehicle sold as-is, non-running. You will absolutely need to arrange a flatbed or recovery truck for collection.
