Description
Porsche 356 Coupé C 1964.
Original configuration, accompanied by a Porsche technical certificate.
The 356 was the first production car to bear the Porsche name. Ferry Porsche built the first example in 1948 in a sawmill in Gmünd, and by the end of production in 1965, approximately 76, 000 units had been manufactured in Zuffenhausen.
It was a lightweight, aerodynamic car equipped with an air-cooled engine.
The "C" version appeared in 1964 as one of the final evolutions of the 356. All C models were fitted with four-wheel disc brakes, a first for both this model and the marque.
The 1, 600cc engine represented a major improvement over previous generations, developing 75bhp straight from the factory.
The 1964 Coupé C presented here displays its original configuration, a "Black" finish paired with a black leatherette interior. A fresh coat of high-quality paint from the workshop "Les Ateliers LECOQ" in Poly-Gloss, "Piano" finish. Magnificent!!
No defects or work are anticipated; the previous owner, a passionate Porsche Klassik collector, has always ensured meticulous maintenance of the 356, regardless of cost.
- This 356 Coupé C model is "Matching Numbers" since leaving the factory in 1964; all work is documented with service records.
