Motors Corner is delighted to present this Martin Roadster, the French answer to the Lotus Super Seven and Caterham. Designed by Martin Production, a Vendée-based company, the Roadster has been marketed since 1986 in the true spirit of these lightweight roadsters with tubular chassis. Sold at the time as a kit to assemble.
This 1994 example comes with its original documentation: manufacturer correspondence, GM2 kit documentation.
Mechanical Condition
The car is powered by a Ford Zetec 4-cylinder in-line engine, fed by a new Weber carburettor, developing 115 horsepower. Mounted in a tubular chassis weighing approximately 640 kg unladen. The car has just undergone a major overhaul: all fuel hoses and the carburettor have been replaced, and all 4 tyres are new. The gearbox is manual. The odometer reads 36, 100 km.
Interior Condition
The cockpit is in competition spirit: two bottle-green leather bucket seats, yellow 4-point harnesses, new MOMO sport steering wheel with quick-release, dashboard fitted with round analogue instruments.
Exterior Condition
The bodywork is in good overall condition, the multi-spoke alloy wheels are in good condition. The soft-top is present.
