A NOTE, to begin with. Yes, this 205 XS does indeed have its original steering wheel! When it left the factory in July 86 (** 1987), the Peugeot 205 XS was equipped with the sports steering wheel from the 205 GTI. It lost it in July 87 (1988 model year), when it gained a redesigned dashboard. It's this two-spoke steering wheel that equips this April 1988 model (1988 model year, then). A year later, this two-spoke wheel would give way to the 3-spoke from the 205 Rallye. Less than 94, 000 km on the original odometer, at the time of writing (mileage subject to change). Single owner from April 1988 to July 2026. The previous registration document is in her name. The Michelin tyres dated 1998 (!) at the rear and 2016 at the front were replaced in August 2026. Ignition circuit overhauled: new coil, new electronic module, new spark plugs, new wiring harness, distributor. New rear brake cylinders. Brake fluid replacement. Heater radiator and expansion tank replacement. Air, oil and fuel filters. Alternator belt. Windscreen washers and pump jets. All done in July. The idle was hunting when warm: fault eliminated by adjusting the fuel mixture and removing the air intake at the base of the original Solex twin-choke carburettor (type 32/ 34 Z2). The bodywork is free from corrosion (see the photos!) but shows the marks of urban use. The right side was scratched and dented: the original wings and door were kept but straightened and repainted by a professional (invoice provided). The side stripes and XS badging are new on the right but original on the left (new ones for the left are supplied). The rest of the paintwork is original. The bonnet appears to have been hail-damaged. Dent on the wing near the left rear light. Multiple small dents on the left door. The
