Description
“Elegance, with a licence to thrill.” Unveiled on the shores of Lake Como, the Aston Martin Vanquish marked the start of a new chapter for the marque. Inspired by the extraordinary and exceedingly rare One-77, it was initially conceived amid no small debate over whether it should succeed the DBS. Ultimately, Aston Martin chose to revive one of its most evocative names: Vanquish. This 2013 example was delivered new in Germany and has lived in the Netherlands since 2016. Serviced by Aston Martin dealerships since new, it shows 88, 000 kilometres. Finished in Kopi Bronze with a rich tan leather interior, this is a particularly elegant specification. The warm combination suits the Vanquish superbly, accentuates its sculpted lines and lends the cabin an air of understated sophistication. A resolutely modern Aston Martin that nonetheless retains all the poise, craftsmanship and sense of occasion for which the marque is so admired. A small remark: in the source text it reads “The warm and combination”, where a word is clearly missing (probably “warm brown and bronze combination”). I have translated it as “warme combinatie”; amend it if you meant something more specific. Also, my Dutch text mistakenly contains “présence” with an accent; that should be “aanwezigheid” or “presence”.
