Description
We are delighted to offer for sale this very fine example of the Porsche 912. The 912 was launched in 1965, combining the bodywork of the 911 with the engine of the 356. The model we are presenting belongs to the first production year, when very few cars were built. It is the original short wheelbase (SWB) version with the three instruments on the dashboard, which makes it the most desirable variant. It was not registered until 1966, as it was delivered new on 21 December 1965. The 912 has slightly narrower track widths than the 911, which gives it a distinctive stance with a great deal of character. Its 1600 cc four-cylinder engine produces 90 horsepower and is perfectly matched to the car's 970 kg kerb weight. Driving a 911 with the sound of a 356 is a unique experience that only the 912 can offer. If outright performance is not your priority, this model will be entirely satisfying for touring, with a genuine driving pleasure that only a classic can deliver. Its agility and lightness work wonders. This car underwent a complete restoration in the late 1990s and has remained in excellent condition since. It retains its original engine, and the light ivory paintwork with red interior is identical to how it left the factory. A comprehensive history file has accompanied the car since 1999. If you are an enthusiast of classic Porsches with the soul of a custodian of heritage worth preserving, this Porsche 912 will delight you. It awaits you to continue the journey together from today.
