Original paintwork, never repainted
Developed from the 1998 Project Vantage concept car, the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish entered production in 2001.
It was a massive step forward for the company, being its first car to feature a bonded aluminium chassis. It took 400 man hours to build, using a Lotus developed Aluminium/Carbon Fibre chassis/tub, powered by a Cosworth built V12, with a Tremec 6 speed manual transmission and electro-hydraulic clutch/gearshift actuation. Underneath the handmade bonnet sat a 460bhp version of the Aston Martin V12 engine.
It arrived with a bang, with James Bond taking the wheel and returning to Aston Martin.
But things were set to get even better, with the original Vanquish being replaced the more powerful V12 Vanquish S in 2005.
The Vanquish S featured an increase in engine power (up from 460bhp to 520bhp) and revised gear and back axle ratios. Top speed was quoted as being in excess of 200 mph, making it one of the fastest Aston Martins ever made.
This one is a late Vanquish S, imported to the UK four years ago and preserved as part of a collection, with very low mileage.

The Vanquish was supplied new to the US market and was imported to the UK in 2018
Prior to that it had two owners in the USA and by 2018 had covered just 19,000 miles, as backed up by a US CarFax report that comes with the car.
The report also documents a pretty comprehensive service history, backed up by the paperwork that comes with the car. Also included are the original book pack and handbooks.
It has covered a genuine 19,391 miles from new and has been used occasionally but regularly for all of its life, with annual servicing and maintenance.
The car is UK-registered with a current V5C and an MOT valid until June 2023.
Unusual Obsidian Black/Cream Truffle leather
Clean and well-presented commensurate with low miles
Inside, this car is extremely smart, its Obsidian Black leather seats featuring Cream Truffle inserts and the door cards trimmed to match.
Being a 2006 model it has the later dash that very similar to the one in the Aston Martin Vantage, with a pewter grey centre console, twin cup holders and climate control dials.
It’s smart and clean, with minimal wear as you’d expect from such a low mileage car.
Finished in rich Onyx Black paint, the Vanquish is a tasteful and discreet supercar – but one that still manages to have intense presence.
It looks great in the colour scheme, with smart 10-spoke alloys wearing 2011 Michelin tyres and themselves free from any marks or blemishes.
The body is straight and largely unmarked, with no evidence of any accident damage.
6.0 V12 with 520bhp
Paddle shift automated manual transmission
Starts and runs well
Officially a 6.0-litre according to the brochure, the Vanquish is actually closer to being a 5.9 – a bespoke Cosworth built/designed V12 with ford combustion chamber design, and uses 2 Ford/Visteon V6 ECU's to manage the engine
But don’t let that put you off – the unit not only sounds glorious, but it also has a record of being one of the most reliable engines ever offered by Aston Martin. And in the Vanquish S, also one of the fastest with 520 bhp and 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds.
This one is said to be in great running order as you’d expect from such a low mileage car, and has the advantage of switchable paddle-shift automated manual transmission.
This is a rare and a gorgeous modern classic Aston Martin in a wonderful colour scheme, and with a genuine low mileage.
The provenance and pedigree make it a real collector’s item, as well as a red-blooded supercar that you can enjoy using in modern traffic.
