BMW Z3 2. 8 Roadster — 2000
A truly stunning BMW Z3 2. 8 Roadster from 2000, in its facelifted version, equipped with the M52TU (Technically Updated) engine featuring dual VANOS with 193 bhp, particularly appreciated for its driving pleasure and smooth delivery.
Beneath its bonnet, the celebrated 2. 8-litre straight-six benefits from the improvements made to the M52, notably the dual VANOS and a variable-length intake system DISA, which optimises cylinder filling according to engine speed and thus improves torque and efficiency across all rev ranges.
But it's really when you turn the ignition key that this technology truly comes alive.
The six-cylinder awakens with a deep and gruff sonority, with remarkable torque availability and excellent smoothness from the lowest revs. When you press the accelerator harder, the note becomes more expressive as the revs climb, transforming into an angry snarl at the top of the rev counter. The five-speed manual gearbox with ideal ratios and the 25% limited-slip differential perfectly complement this characterful engine.
The first owner had chosen several particularly interesting options, including heated Sport seats, as well as the rare Harman Kardon / BMW Professional audio system, with a 6-CD changer installed in the boot, which is itself fully trimmed.
Presentation:
The bodywork is in excellent condition, free from dents and displaying a beautiful shine.
The interior, trimmed in black Oregon leather, is equally fresh and well-preserved. The semi-electric heated Sport seats are in excellent condition, which is rare enough on Z3s to be worth highlighting.
The electric soft top is well-maintained and perfectly watertight. Its rear window has moreover been replaced with a new pane.
All equipment functions correctly, including the air conditioning.
The car comes with both remote control keys, as well as the original code cards.
Also worth noting are the stunning 17-inch BMW Motorsport alloys in 50th Anniversary finish, shod in asymmetric configuration with 225/ 45 at the front and 245/ 40 at the rear. A setup that further reinforces the sporting and exclusive character of this Roadster.
Maintenance
This BMW Z3 2. 8 Roadster is sold fully serviced, including gearbox and differential oil changes.
Everything functions correctly, including the air conditioning.
And the seat rails have been restored to eliminate any play (a common issue on Z3s).
