The Appeal
Bold, brash and utterly American, through and through. The Cadillac Series 62 has always been an icon of the USA, but there’s none quite so synonymous with the era than the third generation. Heavy bumpers, bright colours and sweeping lines made this a car with real attitude.
With its bright Persian Green colour scheme, the rich red and cream interior, and the enormous amounts of chrome, this is a car that sums up that post-war optimism and pride in a pinch. With its enormous size and opulent finish, it’s no surprise they were so often dubbed ‘Landyachts’ by enthusiasts.

Summary
The Cadillac is about as iconic as a motor can get, and if you were to try and imagine one in your mind, it’s likely it’d look exactly like this. The kitschy colours, overblown chromework and beautiful interior make this a quintessentially American post-war luxury.
It was often said that if you had this on your drive, your neighbours knew for sure that you’d made it. We reckon that, for this car’s next lucky owner, the reaction will be exactly the same - over 60 years later.
