The Appeal
This very original 1966 Series IIA 88” is presented in smart, honest condition with a pleasing level of patina. Finished in factory Bronze Green with khaki canvas hood, it has the desirable 2.25-litre petrol engine and has been with just six owners from new. It comes with a BMIHT Heritage Certificate confirming its specification and a comprehensive history file dating back to 1981.
This 1966 Series IIA is a really tidy, nicely presented example on popular Bronze Green with khaki roof. Some Land Rovers of this era have been heavily, perhaps over-restored, but this one is in good order with a nice level of character that befits a working vehicle such as this. It is fitted with the rare petrol engine and is said to drive smoothly with no smoke and firm braking. It was last serviced in March 2025 and we're told has covered few miles since.
We’re told that there is a large history file, which includes a heritage certificate. Whether you choose to put it to work or simply enjoy one of British motorings best, this tidy SIIA is well worth a closer look.
