In 1962 MG produced the very first MGB, a diminutive compact sports coupe with superb dynamics and a raucous soundtrack.
A hit across the water in the USA the car has legendary status and this example in the classic primrose yellow is a stunning example, with overdrive and a full length black contrasting vinyl roof.

This MGB GT has an exhaustive box file of service history, dating back to when it was registered in 1969. MOTs are present along with receipts for spares, service work, and any additional items that have been purchased for the vehicle over the years.
In 2001 MG specialist Tony Davis restored the car with a bare body restoration, this also included the installation of the 1950cc engine, since then it has only covered 11000 miles.
The invoice for the restoration is included in the paperwork and covers over £10,000 detailing the full work covered on the vehicle. The current owner is selling due to a new vehicle on order, they tracked down this example last year as in 1967 they had the same car in the early 70’s and this example was a perfect way to remember there experience of driving this classic in its heyday.

The black leather seating is as to be expected in great condition, the seats are comfortable and show very little wear, the race style steering wheel wrapped in matching black leather is like new and shows very little wear. The rear bench seat does have a small tear in the centre, and also on the back of the seat another small hole, nothing that can’t be repaired by a trimming specialist.
All carpets are clean and show very little wear, proceed with over mats which are in good condition. The headlining on the passenger side is showing signs of wear and has a small gap exposing the wood trim, otherwise headlining and inside of vinyl roof is in good order.
All switches are operational, with the majority being replaced during the cars restoration.

This MGB GT is in excellent condition, with the classic Primrose yellow paintwork in excellent condition throughout. There are a small minor chips around the car just from use but nothing requires any attention. A small touch in can be seen on the edge of the drivers door, only visible on close inspection.
The addition of the graphite Minator alloy wheels give the car a sportier stance, these are all clean and wrapped in all weather Uniroyal tyres which all have good tread. The black vinyl sunroof opens and closes smoothly and is one very good order, all chrome work is clean and in keeping with the quality of the cars overall appearance.

The installation of the B series 1950cc engine enhances the performance and sound of the MGB, with 11000 miles on it since part of the cars restoration in 2001. The car had an extensive overhaul of main engine parts as well, these include the fast road cam, head unit and exhaust manifold.
This particular MGB GT has a timeless appeal, with the 1950cc engine upgrade, overdrive, the classic primrose yellow period paintwork and webasto vinyl roof it ticks all the boxes in terms of specification. The addition of the Minator racing wheels make this GT stand out from the crowd.
