The Appeal

The 'Clubman'-front Minis may have lost a little bit of their British milieu, but they were far more practical. Better access, better safety and better equipped, the sporty 1275 GTs were meant to be a successor to the Mini Cooper. Sadly, those expectations didn't quite materialise, but the car carved out a reputation of its very own, and now has a very dedicated fanbase.

This particular example stands out as an ex-South African model, complete with its original warranty registration certificate. That means a capable little dry-climate car, something that any Mini aficionado will tell you is something to go for. Built in 1981 and first registered in the UK in 2016, this Mini has been part of a significant West Country collection since 2017, and is now waiting for an enthusiast to return it to the road.
