Unfortunately my little Dorie II has to go. I’m losing my unit, and need the lolly for a deposit for an house. After all, I can’t live in a mini.
So. She’s a 1982 Austin Mini, the list of mods is quite extensive- but not too much imho. I'll be putting 12m test on her in the coming week.
The highlights are:
Finished in white
1275 engine
Hi lo suspension all ‘round
4 pot callipers from a metro (painted red)
13 inch wheels
Mk1 grille
Bumpers with over riders F&R
Mk1 rear lights
Subframes in great shape
The bad bits:
The fuel gauge doesn’t work- as do some of the smiths gauges.
The bullet wing mirrors are mounted on the doors, so you can’t see a thing.
Seats (once green) need replacing
Service history lost (along with my sanity)
Wiring in engine bay would benefit from a tidy up.
She deserves a loving home, with someone with a bit of patience and skill to get her in tip top condition- then love forever.
A great fun little mini, looks great, puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Will be sorry to see her go. Only 600 miles since last MOT.
