One of the rarest Messerschmitts a KR175. First registered in January 1955 only around seven are now left in the UK.
This car was subject to a major restoration just four years ago and during the restoration the engine enjoyed a complete rebuild with all bearings replaced and whilst apart a new clutch was also fitted along with the normal springs, shims and seals. Both gearbox and piston needed no restoration work as both were in extremely good condition however new piston rings were fitted as a precaution given the age of the engine.
All metal work was restored and taken back to bare metal before being painted retaining the original Messerschmitt colour combination of blue and tan.
A new dome was sourced from the MOC along with all rubbers and exterior trims to finish the car and a new interior sourced.
Since restoration the car has only been used a few times and it's now time to let a new owner enjoy the delight of ownership of this rare car.
