LAND ROVER Series one Brockhouse trailer
This is the ultimate accessory to own if you have a series one Land Rover
Mechanically restored by a former Land Rover Engineer. This trailer can simply be hitched up and towed anywhere in the country.
Correct BROCKHOUSE 2" tow hitch in perfect working order
-Every nut and bolt on this trailer has been replaced
-Springs overhauled by JONES springs
-New U bolts and base plates
-All wheel bearings replaced
-hub seals replaced
-The brake shoes have all been relined
-new brake "pull off" springs
-all new brake pins, clevis forks and rods fitted
-new electric lights, wiring and reproduction lamp brackets.
-Pair of brass Brockhouse trailer load plates included.
- even all the grease nipples have been replaced!
-Traditional 2" tow ball hitch is also included if required
The unrestored look has grown on me and I decided to leave this way. The body work is original and it is not perfect. The sheet metal floor and lower 10% of all side panels have corroded away. Both mudguards also have some corrosion as they are original to the trailer, the RH side one has a dent in it at the lower rear corner. When taken to shows it simply has a spray in WD40 to make the old metal work look good.
The trailer has a replacement wooden floor board. Please remember the bodywork is well over 60 years old. It is not perfect, it is original!
The trailer could be preserved as it is.
If you wish to get this trailer fully restored then also
included in the sale is an addition pair of mudguards with repair sections if you wish to go this route.
Both wheels and tyres are excellent. The tyres do look very similar to AVON TM 600 R16 tyre.
Trailer is being sold in good working order.
Could also be a suited to a fully restored Series one,
if you are willing to spend time and money on this trailer bodywork and finally getting it resprayed.
Fully documented restoration file and photo's are available.
The price reflects that a huge number of hours has been spent on it's restoration. With a house move coming up I need to reduce the Land Rover collection and funds can sadly be spent on the house move costs.
***** Cash on collection or Bank Transfer please*****
Paypal deposit accepted but remainder to be cash on collection.
The trailer was probably built in the 1950's era by BROCKHOUSE and sold through the Land Rover Dealerships as an accessory.
Thanks
Phillip
