Armstrong Siddeley Whitley 18hp saloon, first registered 01/ 08/ 1950 and supplied new by Peffers Garage in Newcastle-Under-Lyme and registered in Stoke-On-Trent, the car still sports its original registration number. There is a good history file with the car including the original buff log book, this car also starred in the TV series of Heartbeat. Earlier this year the car had the chassis cleaned and was treated to anti corrosion treatment, also some minor cosmetic restoration work was undertaken which included work to the following areas, n/ s and o/ s inner rear wheel arches, rear o/ s corner, rear o/ s wheel arch bottom, rear o/ s wheel arch lip, front o/ s wheel arch lip, o/ s and n/ s front lowing sections, n/ s front wheel arch lip, paint front wings, re-chrome number plate plinth & fittings, re-chromed front bumper, new fur flex to door apertures , front seat repaired and re-coloured, new interior trims, new inner glove box, rear end of wiring loom replaced, new front wheel cylinders, new battery, engine oil changed, all grease points lubricated and filled with new anti freeze, there are photo's of this work. Overall a very nice example of this rare quality car , this car was recently sold for circa £12500 and was sold back in 2010 for £9500, so as you can see my price makes this rare car a genuine bargain. Armstrong Siddeleys are a rare site car at any classic car show they ooze quality and engineering as you would expect from an aircraft manufacturer. The car has a recorded mileage of 67, 000 miles which is correct and genuine according to a previous owner, it has a current MOT to May 2019 but is of course MOT & Tax exempt
