It's with a heavy heart that I have to say, my beloved '70 Impala Lowrider is up for sale.
I've owned her for just over 5 years and she’s been a joy to own and drive. She turns heads wherever you go and is the only car I've had which seems to be universally loved by all who see her!
Definitely not a car you wanna drive if you don’t like attention!
The car has never let me down and has always started. I've not done too much to it since owning it so it’s pretty much in the same way it was when I bought it.
The last owner kept it on the road but it's kept covered on my drive and I've never driven it in the rain. She has 350 badges but I've since been told that it’s not a 5. 7, but a 6. 6ltr... and that's what is on the log book.
Condition overall is good. She does not have an MOT.
It doesn't need one but it’s not road worthy at this time.
I just do not have the skills, time or money anymore and I believe she deserves to go to someone who can make her what she should be.
The main issue is I've managed to snap 3 of the 4 shocks on the car. The hydraulics were simply too powerful! Springs are still in place
The shocks will need replacing, or remove the whole lot to install a new set up. I have been toying with the idea of returning it back to springs and shocks with a lower stance and taking out the hydraulics altogether.
Body work has some rust spots, and a minor dent courtesy of the previous owner. Body will also require a respray at some point, as the paint cracked in a couple of places on the roof of the car.
I know it looks black, but this is actually dark green metallic with gold flecks. Looks awesome in the sun!!
She has a strong engine, and changes though the gears fine.
4 very good tyres. I replaced the starter in January and she has a brand new custom exhaust fitted by Pipecraft back in May.
Interior needs a little attention as the bench seats have a couple of tears. Roof lining is excellent.
When I bought the car I was told that the hydros were fitted by Rayvern, but I've not had any verification on this.
The system works and the car goes up down, side to side, with a four battery 2 pump set up.
Chrome work is Ok.
The brake lines have also just been replaced.
The car does start, stop, run and drive but it will have to be trailored away. You could drive it but it’s very bouncy.
I probably haven't covered everything so contact me on the details below with any questions or queries.
Cheers for looking!
