1959 RHD Renault Dauphine imported from sunny Australia where it was all of its life so there is no rot, never been welded nor needs welded. I imported it to the UK in 2017 and spent many months and money to make it into a really reliable and pretty little car. It is MOT and tax free of course and all import duties and taxes have been paid and has been registered with the DVLA who gave it the registration number IG 4559. The V5 document has me as the registered keeper.
The car colour is the original colour called Erin Green or Ireland Green, Du Pont colour code 910. The following parts were fitted or refurbished in Australia. Suspension dampers, flex brake pipes, radiator, dynamo, starter motor and new tyres.
The engine, gearbox, differential, drivetrain and subframe were removed, the engine stripped and inspected by O D Cars Ltd who polished the crankshaft and confirmed all other parts were in great condition.
The following new parts were supplied and fitted here. Battery, battery clamp, earthing straps, horn, wheel bearings, brake shoes, brake wheel cylinders, two differential bearings, differential oil seals, differential output shaft felt seals, clutch plate, clutch thrust bearing, engine main bearings, thrust washer, big end bearings, piston rings, all associated gaskets, camshaft idle gear, water pump, water pump mounting plate, water pump drive belt, thermostat, hoses, radiator cap, dynamo drive belt, head refurbished, distributor cap, leads, points, new original Solex carburettor, windscreen wiper blades, wiper barrels, window slides and seals, door seals, boot seal, fuel filler pipe, steering wheel centre emblem, front seats recovered, wheels balanced and finally clear waxoyl’ed under body. Comes with original and workshop manuals, receipts and some spare parts. Inspection pit available for under car viewing.
