This right-hand drive 300GE LWB must be the finest G-Wagen available of its era.
Built in 1993 by Steyr Puch in Austria in desirable long-wheelbase/ five-door form, it is equipped with the wonderfully smooth and reliable 3-litre straight-six petrol engine mated to a four-speed automatic gearbox. It’s finished in Brilliant Silver with a grey cloth interior accented with Zebrano wood.
In terms of equipment, the full specification is listed below but the key points are air conditioning, electric windows, electric sunroof, additional seats in the rear (7 seat – not fitted in the pictures but come with the vehicle), in addition to the usual power steering, central locking and alloy wheels. In addition, this car has been recently fitted with full integrated parking sensors and an expensive HiFi upgrade with iPhone integration. A pair of perfect headlamp bezels with gravel guard grills as originally fitted come with the car along with the ones you see fitted.
The car comes with all original books and manuals and a full service history comprising of 18 services. The current mileage stands at 133, 339km, or 82, 852 miles.
In terms of condition it is simply very hard to believe this 300GE is 25 years old. The paintwork is absolutely flawless. The wheels unmarked and shod with new Dunlop all terrain tyres. The underside is immaculate and free from any corrosion. The interior is totally original and unmarked. All accessories work correctly and the air conditioning blows ice cold.
This G-Wagen is from the era when the model was yet to be adorned with glitzy accessories or enormous wheels. It is, perhaps, the G-Wagen for those who prefer a more understated look. This particular car is in the best possible order and comes from a fastidious collector. We simply have not seen a better one. It could be used on a regular basis or it would be a fine addition to any collection.
