Ferrari 250 GT SWB Coupe replica
This is based on a modern BMW Z3 so has 1960’s supercar looks and performance with none of the downsides. It’s cheap to insure (around £180 fully comp), returns up to 32 MPG and is cheap to service. At around £10, 000, 000 for an original car, most are in museums or secure storage.
No one asks if it’s a replica, they just assume it’s real unless they are a rare Ferrari anorak. It stops traffic and is certainly not for the shy retiring type.
The car is based on a modern, legendary record of reliability, well equipped Z3 with a galvanised chassis and now with thick strong fibreglass panels should last forever, and no renovation work needed every few years like classic cars. Only a handful of these are in existence and will appreciate in value. Ownership should be almost free. It is correctly registered as a Nubodi 250 SWB.
This particular model was the factory demonstrator for Nubodi Automotive so was built to an extra high standard and is fantastic condition. These rarely come up for sale and this has to be the most desirable of its kind in the world. Please do not confuse this with the couple of 'home built' efforts that have come on ebay recently.
It has recently benefited from a full interior upgrade. This is a replica dash with beautiful Veglia replica clocks and gauges which are electronic to match the Z3 but look real and all work. Not botched Z3 guts home made housings.
Donor car
The donor car only had 88000mls with a 2. 0, 6 cylinder. This is barely run in for one of these engines. It has plenty of power, is smooth and good torque. As the Z3 was based around the E36 3 series the parts are plentiful and cheap.
It has ABS, remote central locking alarm, 2 sets of original keys (2 remotes), power steering, leather wallet with lots of handbooks including the owners handbook, MOT till July 2019 .
The car starts first time every time, does not smoke and is quiet, it has just had a full service, including gearbox oil & filter change, new brake pads, tyres and exhaust all new.
It has chrome wire wheels which are brand new with correct 'knock on' 3 eared spinners and Borrani logos. It has 4 matching Pirelli tyres all with minimal wear. No horrible plain steel wheels here or wheel nuts.
It was painted a year ago in 2 pack Ferrari Rosso Corsa and still looks like it’s just been painted.
‘Period’ racing bucket seats, Red race harnesses, alloy gear knob, chrome ashtray (which hides the hazard switch) custom made centre console and door panels with elasticated door pockets, dummy levers on doors, the list goes on and on.
Private plate, black & silver pressed aluminium number plates, wood rimmed steering wheel (top quality), genuine Ferrari wing shield badges, boot script and bonnet badge, replica mirrors, stainless bonnet pins, chrome washer jets, alloy billet rear view mirror, 5" driving spotlights, red fire extinguisher, chrome windscreen wipers, Aston style flip up fuel cap, replica rear lights, chrome number plate rear lights, etc, etc
It has a full stainless steel custom made exhaust system by Longlife with a lifetime warranty. This makes it sound like the original car and releases more horses. See here, turn your speakers up! It's a Kalifornia version but same sound

Faults: Fuel gauge is inaccurate so I tend to use the mileometer when I fill up, tyres are the largest possible (previous owner wanted best roadholding) but would look better on 185 x 15's.
Classic replicas are the fastest appreciating asset at the moment because ordinary folk cannot afford the outrageous price and restoration costs of Classic cars. I read an article recently in one of the classic car magazines that Classic replicas have increased in value by 395% since 2015!!
What could be better, an appreciating classic car in it’s own right with 1960’ styling that is bulletproof reliable and has all the feature of a modern BMW, can be fixed and diagnosed in any garage, can be used all year round, a superb tourer without the multi million pound price-tag?
