Whilst photographing such a wonderful car we couldn’t help but wonder who enjoyed this car from new. Comparing to a new Mercedes S450 L that we recently delivered to a customer proved that although a lot has changed in 30 years, the design ethos must have been the same in 1987.
This SEL is a delightful car to drive, strong and safe performance intertwined with sublime comfort and ice cold air-conditioning was most welcome in this 30+ degree heat we are enjoying.
We aren’t often fans of the phrase, but this really is in ‘time warp’ condition inside and out, recently passing an MOT with no advisories, befitting it’s mere 63, 000 miles it is a credit to its current keeper of 4 years, the previous keeper who had the pleasure of her for over 14 years and of course the very first owner who had it from new for 13 years.
Any independent inspection is welcomed should the potential new owner of this wonderful example wish to have one carried out prior to purchasing it.
