Description
In addition to the Horch 12-cylinder 853er was the top vehicle the Horch portfolio of the thirties. Only about 697 vehicles of this type were manufactured.
The Horch Type 853 Sport Cabriolet first has been presented at the IAA 1938 in Berlin. It became a serious competitor to the Mercedes 500 and 540 Kompressor vehicles due to its elegance and reliability.
This vehicle was extensively restored in the 90s by a Horch specialist. The restoration work took a period of four years. All assemblies and each part were either overhauled or renewed. The car is characterized by excellent condition of the body and the chromeparts. The elegant coloring of the paint and the interior should be unique. In contrast to the later models this early version of the Type 853 has a longer bonnet and an extremely low windshield making it sportier. All trim parts are still made of brass and chrome. In the later models all trim parts were already made of aluminum. A rare opportunity to buy a Horch 853 in a collector's condition.
