Description
This Puch 125 was found in the Netherlands in a barn in the late nineties in a terrible state.
It took more then 10 years to restore the motorcycle to the original specifications. Including some spare parts.
It is now for 90 % original. Engine has been running 10 years ago and is still turning.
The Puch 125 is road legal with Dutch license papers. The lightweight 125 cc motorcycles of Puch and DKW where ideal for use in the muddy terrain.
Used as Dispatch Riders for bringing post to the HQ. The standard armored divisions during the campaign against Poles (1939/ 1940) were composed of two tank regiments, each consisting of two battalions with four companies each with 32 tanks, one fully motorized infantry regiment that would later receive the name ,, Panzergrenadiere “, a reconnaissance battalion with armored vehicles and engines, a connecting battalion and supporting units. The later armored divisions (1941/ 1945) were made up of one tank regiment with 2 battalions, and in the case of an SS armored division sometimes 3 (between 40 and 100 tanks per battalion, depending on the year), 2 partially mechanized, partially motorized infantry regiments ( 2 battalions, 3 at the Waffen-SS), a motorized artillery regiment (2 battalions, 3 at the Waffen-SS), a reconnaissance unit, a mechanized pioneer battalion (rescue troops), a reconnaissance unit, a tank hunting department and supporting units.
