EXTERIOR:
This handsome GTS looks wonderful in original Black Metallic, with its muscular flared arches and dished Porsche Cup alloys. The paintwork is fresh and it?s in mirror like shine, displaying a deep metallic flake with original paint code, and not a single scratch, dent or stone ship anywhere.
This Porsche 928 GTS was fully restored and parked indoor and never been driven, it was done up and stored for a collection purpose only, however this GTS is more than ready to be unleashed on the road.
The lenses are in perfect order throughout and the trademark pop-up headlamps operate quickly and smoothly, just as the factory intended.
INTERIOR:
Inside, the piped original black leather provides a striking contrast to the Black Metallic exterior and the leather is still soft to the touch and free from any significant wear to the bolsters.
The dash, switchgear and door cards are in great shape and all are also original, as is the boot area that still has its fabric luggage cover and a new set of factory Porsche carpets.
The fully electric front seats provide a welcoming and supportive level of comfort for any individual; while the rear seats, in equally lovely condition, fold down to provide a handy storage shelf.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION:
Under the bonnet, the 5. 4 liter 32V Porsche V8 is a work of art, nested between the front wings and presented beautifully as everything around the engine compartment been overhauled. Engine covers been professionally removed, cleaned, blasted and powder coated. it comes with a brand new sport performance exhaust that rumbles and sound like no other.
Furthermore the 4-speed automatic gearbox has been professionally rebuild to specification and feels smooth to operate, pulling through the gears precisely and handling the engines power perfectly.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES:
All of the 17" OEM Porsche Cup Alloys are fully refurbished to gun metal color; the wheels are shod in a matching set of new performance tires. The calipers been also been refurbished and repainted with the Porsche sport red color, as do the brake pads and brake discs, showing only minimal wear.
RESTORATION:
This Porsche 928 GTS was stored in an indoor garage for over 10 years. This GTS went thru a full concours restoration process for a Porsche museum classic display, with over $20, 000 USD total cost just on mechanical & electrical work, overhauling the entire engine compartment including all new special galvanized bolts, and rebuilding the transmission with all new (OEM Factory) parts from Porsche.
Over $15, 000 USD total cost just on exterior restoration, the paintwork is now fresh and better then factory and it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche.
The entire car was stripped and sanded down to bare aluminum metal, all doors, fenders, windows front, back and sides all removed and the entire car was professionally re-sprayed. All new trims, seals, door gaskets, mounts, brackets, bushings, nuts, bolts, emblems and all rubbers for the entire vehicles also were changed to new (OEM Factory) parts on the entire car, (photos thru the entire paint restoration process step by step are available.
All new rubbers, houses, seals, mounts, gaskets, brackets, sensors, pipes, fuel lines, weirs, and much much much more?.. everything replaced to new (OEM Factory) parts.
