This is the regrettable sale of my fantastic very rare and very early pre S Peugeot 304 cabriolet. Car is in very nice condition and is able to drive anywhere.
Benefits in having a rare removable hardtop that in lovely condition, very shiny with no rust and very presentable lining. Also has an almost new folding canvas roof that is very water tight with no damage. Last year before its winter hibernation the car had a service with new thermostat points, plugs, condenser, leads etc. All tyres are matching Bridgstone’s are in very good condition with loads of tread.
Body wish the car is very solid with no bad rust or filler looks very good and straight. The paint looks very shiny but has a few blemishes the worst being the passenger side front and rear wing tops, looks like paint reaction, never bothered me and is nor particularly noticeable (see photos).
The previous owner for 13 years spent a small fortune on the car in his ownership, I estimate about £10, 000-£12, 000. I have a folder full of all the receipts for the works carried out, MOT history's, previous owners, club information, service books, car brochures etc, absolutely tons of stuff. Car comes with two sets of keys. Lots of professional garage welding had been done to the car over the years (I have all receipts), especially the floors and inner sills, this is still very solid but probably not the best looking job but certainly is very strong.
In my ownership last year the fan for the heater has stopped, also the dash illumination light and the flashing indicator light although all the dash lights for the warnings still illuminate, this all could be a simple wire or fuse problem. Headlights, sidelights, indicators wipers, horn etc all work as intended.
