A 1951 Bentley Special 4. 25 built on a MK VI R typer chassis. It is listed in the book 'The Crewe Cars' page 281.
The engine has been converted to run on modern unleaded petrol, and has had the following new parts fitted, new clutch, clutch master cylinder, replacement carburettors. piston rings, pins and circlips, new crack shaft friction damper, valves and valve guides, radiator and hoses, framework has been rechromed, electronic tacho, electronic addition, tyres and tubes, exhaust system complete with manifolds, petrol pump, remired, new battery, new hood, hood frames and tonneau cover and many other ancillary parts.
The previous owner acquired the vehicle in 2014, where it had been sat for 15-20 years and in a very sorry state. They proceeded to strip down and lovingly rebuild it for a Eurpean road trip.
