Gilera 500 4C 1956
This famous historical GP racer from 1956, is now for sale. The Gilera 500 4C was the motorcycle that won almost every 500cc grandprix in the years 1952 - 1956.
Some technical information about the Gilera ( unfortunately in Dutch....) Most of the Gilera's that are stil there, are in musea, or in private collections. This Gilera I am selling for my client who asked me to help him with that. He bought this Gilera in 2007 from the chief of staff of the Gilera technical team: Enrico Galli, the father from Valentino Rossi and another co-owner of this Gilera. These 3 persons owned the Gilera. The 75-year old owner stil rode the Gilera every year on classic races. Because of his health he had to stop and he decided to sell the Gilera. On the Youtube video, you can see the owner, starting the Gilera and you can have an impression of the impressive sound of the Gilera. Topspeed of this Gilera 500 4C is 162, 5 miles an hour.... for a 500 cc racer from 1956 very fast.
This Gilera is so rare and has so much historical value, that this motorcycle belongs to the higher level motorcycles as it comes to price.
