This is a really nice, original R80, that has just arrived, and after prep and servicing, will be ready for its new custodian next week.
The bike is a 1981, low owner, low mile bike, and unusually for these old boxers, had been a “naked”, unfaired bike from new. Mileage is showing just 29k, and although the bike comes without detailed history (apparently it was auctioned as part of an estate) the MOT history and the splendid, patinated condition support the mileage. The motor is amongst the quietest we’ve ever heard on a boxer, and it runs / rides as a good boxer should. Paintwork appears predominantly original, and she’s fitted with some lovely upgrades such as Koni “Dial a Ride” rear shocks, factory twin disc conversion, and of course those obligatory Krauser panniers.
All in all, a very genuine, unmolested old boxer, and surely won’t be around long at this price. Always happy to consider YOUR classic in part exchange, especially Airhead BMW.
