A rare opportunity to purchase a unique car for project / repair/ spares. Bodywork is in very good condition considering its age. If I were to be picky, I'd replace the left headlamp, and realign/ rescrew the front trim - however the MOT tester was happy with it like that. Interior is clean and tidy and well maintained (just a bit of patching up on small area of loose seam in the back seat. The sunroof winds open manually (!) and it comes with a tow bar (but currently not fixed on) in the boot. It also comes with a super loud speaker system (see pictures) and we even have a multiple CD changer that will be included in the price. The car was imported from Belgium earlier this year and is now UK Registered. It passed its British MOT in May 2019. The car is currently sorned. It is fitted with a 1. 9D (naturally aspirited, non turbo) diesel engine, factory fitted as standard in mainland Europe. It still drives, however there are some issues with the engine; smoke and juddering, with excessive oil being used. Mechanic has indicated piston wear, so overhaul or replacement engine needed. Speedometer shows 378, 000km (Approx 235k in imperial) The speedometer has not worked since I purchased it - however you will be buying with the knowledge that the current engine is worn out, so no surprises! Due to described issues, the Audi will need to be collected by trailer, and must be repaired before driving on the highway. Once repaired, hopefully a quirky, retro classic for somebody to enjoy. Should you get any interest is this car, I have a overhauled Audi IZ engine which will fit this car, the only difference being this engine is turbo charged , but will run without the turbo facility. Thought this may help you with any interested buyers
