For sale, 1977 S1 Lancia Beta Montecarlo. Tax and MOT exempt. The car presents well and has been restored in the recent past. From some research it appears likely that it has been restored in the past (2011/ 12).
The bodywork overall is in good order and the engine pulls nicely with no smoke. Gears select well and the brakes pull the car up with reasonable efficiency.
With the exception of the seat covering I'd say the car has been kept fairly original although the bonnet is a good quality fibreglass replacement.
I purchased it from a classic car dealer in October 2018 and have done the following:
Replaced alternator.
Changed engine oil & filter.
Repaired passenger door electric window.
Replaced torn door seals.
Door courtesy lights rewired
New radiator thermal switch fitted
Coolant drained refilled & bled
Alloy expansion tank fitted
Four new tyres correct size fitted
Ignition warning light bulb replaced.
Doubled up battery earth lead.
Cleaned body earths
Engine compartment light fixed
Replaced pedal rubbers
There are some paint defects but the car is very presentable. The windscreen is starting to delaminate and there are some small bubbles appearing in localised areas.
Since the last MOT which has now run out the car has done around 1300 miles.
