First introduced in 1960, the R69 S is the embodiment of the German sports bike, as opposed to the British twin engines in all the passionate debates between bikers. The BMW R69 S is based on the brand's traditional architecture with a 600 cc flat twin cylinder and a transmission by shaft and cardan. With its Earles fork, a sliding rear suspension, and black livery, the R69 S is more austere and less fun than its British competitors, but it is catching up in terms of efficiency and reliability.
The R 69 S differed from the R60 by its acronym on the rear mudguard, a hydraulic steering damper, valve covers with two fins instead of six, a boss on the front of the crankcase and some other details. The R69 S, from the collection, was restored in Italy and is in a decent state.
We are very proud to present this very moving collection. All the motorcycles reflect a man's passion for different brands and generations of two-wheelers. The ones that made him dream as a child in the 1940s and 1950s, as well as those he enjoyed riding, such as the BMWs and Guzzis. The original condition and low mileage of most of the motorcycles of the collection will certainly catch the attention of demanding collectors.
We inform buyers that the entire collection consists of motorcycles that were, for the most part, left unused for years in a private museum. They are therefore sold as they are and are to be restored and/ or recommissioned.
We advise all potential buyers to check the file of each motorcycle to obtain all information regarding the registration process in their countries.
