For Sale 1977 Mini 1275GT. 65000 miles. VGC.
White with black roof and full length Britax Weathershield webasto style period sunroof.
Built in 1977 but not registered until 1978, this one is now in the free tax bracket and is MOT exempt, although for peace of mind it is booked in for a test this coming Friday 11th Oct. ** Update ** MOT passed 11/ 10/ 19 with flying colours!
Was restored about 10 years ago, and has done very little mileage since - see MOT history for details. Very clean MOT history, no fails or advisories in 9 years.
Largely factory specification, including original deck-chair upholstery and original carpets but with a couple of period mods such as Superlight alloy wheels and Mountney sports steering wheel.
Excellent Yokohama tyres with lots of tread left. Adjustable Gaz shocks and hi-los.
This is a nice clean car, but not concours - there are a couple of minor paint blemishes, a small 8mm hole in the drivers seat cover and it could do with detailing under the bonnet.
It has been well maintained and starts on the button. New Varta battery about 6 months ago and most recently I have just fitted new genuine Lockheed clutch and brake master cylinders of the correct type for the year.
This car has bags of personality and still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it, but after two years it is now time for a change.
Very rare to find one of these with all of it's original interior still present and looking tidy, plus nice solid bodywork and paint and just a few sensible mods to enhance it's drivability and fun factor without going over the top. Nice usable car which draws lots of attention wherever it goes.
Due to a low survival rate the 1275GT is now rarer than any Cooper, and while the standard production car performance figures do not quite match the Cooper 1275, it is simple enough to squeeze more horsepower out of these if that is what you want, so save yourself a fortune and stand out from the crowd!
Heritage certificate, some history. Priced for a quick sale as I already have my eye on something else.
