1957 Mercedes Benz 220S
This vehicle was imported to New Zealand in the early 1960's. in current ownership for the last 5 years. Engine runs very well and gear shift is smooth. Chromework starts to show areas of surface rust but overall in very good condition.
Bodywork and paintwork in very good condition. The previous owner did a bare metal repaint to the original paint colour and spec. small scratch on left rear mudguard.
Interior is in excellent condition. Driver's door armrest stitching started to fail.
Please note that the odometer is in miles and this is the current reading. It may not be accurate.
Car was fitted with electronic ignition but it failed recently. It was replaced with an original distributer with new coil, points, condensor, rotor, cap and HT leads.
Further work recently completed:
-Faulty gearbox replaced
-Reconditioned clutchplate fitted
-Flywheel and pressure plate replaced with original parts.
-Front wheel bearings replaced
-all fiters, oil and spark plugs replaced.
