Well known among the various UK MV1800 owners groups my beautifully restored rust free and very special pick up truck is now for sale, due to a new business venture.
Its hard to know where to begin the description of my truck as its specification is simply superb and unique in the UK.
Having purchased this truck in spring 2008 as a rolling project there is no corner of this vehicle that has not had the benefit of the full and complete no expense spared restoration I've lavished on it.
The following is a list of new or 'very best available' parts bestowed on the vehicle since i bought it along with enhancements that make this truck the best available for sale in the UK. I can genuinely say as co-founder of the UK owners group for these vehicles and having personally owned over 30 of them that this particular vehicle is one of only three Mk2 MV's in the UK that you would say was this good condition wise, this particular one however has a host of additional extras that set it out as truly unique.

MOMO leather bound sports steering wheel with red allen screws fixing - (have still got original to be sold with the vehicle) which is perfect weighting to power steering.
Pool ball gear knob (have stil got original to be sold with the vehicle)
New 'rich red' gear and 4wd selector gaiters.
Gear change is like a new vehicle.
New clutch pressure plate and thrust bearing.
New std front exhaust Y Pipe coupled to 50mm straight through to back box stainless steel custom made exhaust with down turn end ( its not loud but does enhance the wonderful beaty sound of the EA81 engine fitted to these trucks).
New alternator
New water pump
Engine came from a vehicle with 43, 000 and has since covered a little over 8000 miles to date.
Forester seats with arm rests fitted which is a most comfortable upgrade imaginable for these vehicles.
Floor covering is as new condition - no holes. Big strong rubber mats included.
Australian sourced front mud flaps - Genuine Subaru.
Australian sourced gravel protection flaps on
front rack arms (protects the CV rubbers).
Front underside engine splash guards in as new condition ( which is very unusual)
New door lamp switches
Door cards selected to be best available
Rear load area illumination via cab switched LED strip lamp.
Rear load area is finished (following 100% restoration) with colour coded anti slip 'SPEEDLINER' kelvar protection system @ £650 plus vat. It really is bullet proof !
New rear KYB Dampers
As new fuel tank fully rustproofed and load bed floor underside prior to refitting tank was fully rustproofed.
AS new fuel filler neck
Up rated to rear discs and caliper conversion using new parts and braided stainless flexi's (gets around the issues of rear drums) So that's a disc brake on each corner - rears are from the Turbo XT / MY series ie they bolt straight on as they are Subaru parts.
The very best available stainless steel bed trims - they are like new !
Brand new tailgate complete - new parts include Stainless tailgate trim top, major panel, grab handle and all badges!
New drop stays and location / lock pins.
Twin fog lamp conversion
Brand new rear lamp lenses and inner mounting clusters - on both sides.
Brand new rear corner bumperettes and inner covers mounted on brand new mounting brackets.
Brand new rear mudflaps
Brand new complete set for both sides ORIGINAL side rubbing strips.
New fasteners used where required and where possible in stainless steel.
Custom made stainless steel front mudguard corner steady's
Rear cab glass guard bars have been hard nickle plated.
Fully waxed underside and was taken back to metal under each wheel arch then done with POR15 x 3 coats then stone guarded then waxed, It has recently been re waxed on both sides of the floor pan.
Any rust found (there wasn't much) was eradicated professionally during this most thorough and exhaustive restoration.
Glass out / panels off professional respray in 2016.
Total cost has exceeded £25, 000 over the 11 years i have owned this vehicle to get it this good.
It drives as new - in fact better, thanks to the Weber 32/ 36 carb that allows the engine to really pull well. This lovely little truck puts a smile on my face every time out in it.

This vehicle contains HUGE quantities of UN-OBTAINIUM and anyone attempting a restoration on this scale on another one of these is simply NOT going to be able to source the quality and level of parts I have been able to do.
I can absolutely guarantee that you will not find another one of these with this specification and condition anywhere in the UK, I know whats out there !

Vehicle is garaged in Halifax and has NOT been run on the salt since i bought it.
Light use only in my ownership.
