We are delighted to present for sale this Series 2a, in popular light pastel green colour scheme, with limestone wheels.
Externally, the vehicle is largely standard – the bonnet mounted spare, recent front bumper, recent canvas, wing-top mounted mirrors, rear grab handles and rear mudflaps. The vehicle sits on slightly larger 700 tyres, for additional gearing and a purposeful stance. It is nice to see that this vehicle hasn’t suffered with too much ‘messing around’ – it presents well and has a gloss paint finish, rather than a brushed one.
The interior houses three front seats, with deluxe matting to the footwells. A heater is fitted for additional comfort, of the square ‘Smiths’ type. The rear is unfitted, and houses a load mat – though could easily house bench seats if required for seven seated including the driver.
Out on the road, this old girl delivers a pleasing period driving experience, aided by the larger rubber. The petrol engine pulls sweetly (a recent exhaust has been fitted) and she drives just as she should.
