The Opel Olympia Rekord was introduced in March 1953 as successor to the Opel Olympia, a pre-World War II design dating back to 1935. The Opel Olympia Rekord was built until 1957 in four different versions. Around 580, 000 units were produced. Styling of the 1953-54 sedans resembled scaled-down versions of the contemporary Chevrolet in the U. S. Both cars were of course, products of General Motors.
First registered in Austria in April 1955 to Baron Carl Ludwig Braun, the Opel was purchased in March 1977 by Franz Hacker, who moved to the UK in 1978 before settling in Jersey in 1993. Now unused for some years it is never the less complete and being sold for restoration with only two owners.
Sold as a non running car for restoration, with original documentation, Austrian registration books, confirming ownership history, year pf manufacture, and original Opel Handbook. Complete with original badges and decals and with the following documents;

The brakes have been freed off and the tyres do hold air.
A great candidate for leaving very much as it is and just and undertaking a mechanical overhaul.
