The last two fully restored Mehari 4x4’s sold at auction in 2017 and 2018 for just over €35k and €38k ( inclusive of fees ) respectively. These are rare cars as Citroen only made just over 1, 300 of them and it would not be unreasonable to consider that the number that have survived are very low.
This is also the very rare 4 seater version ( folds flush in the rear compartment)
Should you be unfamiliar with the off-road performance and capabilities of this unique design then have a look on YouTube. The power to weight ratio gives this vehicle astonishing incline capabilities (60%) and traction over soft surfaces. Consequently, they were used as medical back up vehicles for the Paris- Dakar Rally in 1979.
Additional info:
The restoration focused on the perishable parts and has kept all the essential originality of the chassis, engine gear box, suspension, running gear etc.
