1974 MERCEDES-BENZ R107 350SL PROJECT
Reluctantly for sale is my R107 project car . I bought this car a year ago to rebuild for myself and use this summer but the workshop has got some busy with both our own and customer rebuilds that we are looking to move this on for someone else to enjoy. It requires much welding as most of these cars do at this age but the panels are readily and cheaply available. It will need at least: some pieces in the rear floor, headlamp bowls (but wings are very good), rear arches including the lower arch, sills and floors are very solid but will no doubt need some repairs. no obvious bad holes in the bulkhead. the car is exactly as it is in the pictures, there are no lights or bumpers and it requires a passenger seat. engine and gearbox both present aswell as all major mechanical components. It has a stainless steel exhaust fitted and a very good set of mexican hat alloy wheels.
Car is priced extremely sensibly to allow for plenty of scope for the next owner as we need the space! Worth more purely as a parts car but have no time to strip and I like to see iconic cars kept on the road .
